Erica Toskovich is a first-generation Mexican-American therapist practicing in Texas. A native Houstonian, she is a mother of two and a wife. When she’s not working in her practice, Erica enjoys spending time with her family and friends, engaging in DIY projects, and reading about social justice, mystery, fiction, and educational topics. She is an avid foodie, always on the lookout for new local eateries, and loves learning about different cultures. Erica is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Erica has extensive experience working with trauma, life transitions, stress, anxiety, and depression. Her background includes work in a variety of settings, such as youth community centers, shelters, schools, local agencies, and outpatient care. She has also facilitated Mind Body Medicine groups for the community.
Erica holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Houston and completed her graduate studies in Counseling at Our Lady of the Lake University, earning her degree in 2012. She has received specialized training in Trauma-Focused CBT, trauma-informed care, and is a certified facilitator of this training. She is also trained in Prolonged Exposure Therapy, CBT for Insomnia and Nightmares, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy. After Hurricane Harvey, Erica trained in Mind Body Medicine practices. Most recently, she completed the International Certificate in Collaborative Practices Train the Trainer (ICCP) program through the Houston Galveston Institute.
